Dana Zátopková personal memories of the 1952 Olympic Games #1096    notforsale

upimages/235/1096Z1.jpeg
Dana Zátopková's own handwritten memories of the day when she and her husband Emil Zátopek won the Olympic gold medal. Dana in the javelin throw, Emil in the 5000 meter run. The passepartout also contains an authentic participation medal from the 1952 Olympic Games and an original ticket to the athletics events on July 24, the day both spouses (born on the same day, by the way) won their most valuable Olympic medals. Memories are written with an archival pen on handmade paper with gold threads. They are not related to the race itself, more than enough is written about that everywhere, but rather to the feelings and observations from behind the scenes of the two athletic legends from the day. Memories are full of emotions and written from the heart. The signature features a typical drawing of a spearhead, which Dana Zátopková regularly added to her signatures. The blank space in the mount is ready for a bronze plate engraved with the date and event (in production). Dana Zátopková died in March 2020 at the age of almost 98.
