Tento dres v původním stavu (bez vlajky, se lvíčkem) používala reprezentace na začátku sezóny 1989/90, po listopadovém převratu bylo potřeba modifikovat dresy reprezentace tak, aby odpovídaly společenské situaci. Finská firma Tackla coby dodavatel dresů pro reprezentační výběry dodala dresy s tištěnou vlajkou poprvé pro mistrovství světa juniorů na přelomu let 1989 a 1990.

Dres nese četné známky používání a našitou dobovou jmenovku, vyrobenou tehdy shodným stylem a na shodném materiálu pro celou tuto sadu dresů.

The Finnish company Tackla, as a supplier of jerseys for the national teams, supplied jerseys with a printed flag for the first time for the World Junior Championships at the turn of 1989 and 1990.
