Gilbert Schuller wore this jersey at the 1992 IIHF World Championships Pool C2 in South Africa. This was the first ever IIHF tournament for Luxembourg and while they finished second last, they did manage a 10-5 win over last place Turkey. Schuller scored six goals and added two assists for a total of eight points in four games. Alongside debutant Luxembourg, this was the first senior men's tournament for the Greek, Israeli, and Turkish teams. With the fall of apartheid, South Africa was, once again, allowed to participate at official tournaments. The South Africans had not played at an IIHF event since 1966. This rare jersey was obtained directly from the player.
