The IIHF Asian Oceanic Junior U18 tournament in Jilin, China had a surprise entry in 1991 - Mexico. The IIHF chose the Asian/Oceanic tournament, instead of the European counterparts, for the Mexico Ice Hockey Federation because of lower competition standards. Even still, Mexico lost all four of its games scoring only 3 goals and allowing a staggering 115 goals against. The first game was a 43-0 loss to Japan while their closest game was a 13-0 loss to North Korea (DPRK). This jersey was obtained directly from Jorge Gurria Salafranca.
