Chang-Gol So wore this jersey at the 1993 IIHF World Championships Pool C held in Slovenia. The North Koreans won 3 of their 5 games narrowly missing out on qualifying for the semi-finals of Pool C. Chang-Gol So played in 5 games for the Democratic Republic of Korea registering no points. This very rare jersey was obtained via trade several years ago. The lightweight mesh indicates that this is a 1993 Tackla and there is evidence of an extremely long nameplate. Tackla issued nameplates with both the first and last names for certain countries like North Korea. The jersey has far more wear and puck marks than would normally be seen on a jersey used at a single IIHF tournament. More than likely, it was reused by the North Koreans in their domestic league as is standard practice to this day.
