After winning a gold medal at the 1991 World Juniors in Saskatoon, Canada, hopes were high for Canada to three-peat in Fussen, Germany in 1992. Despite having future NH superstars Eric Lindros, Martin Lapointe, Paul Kariya, and Scott Niedermayer, the Canadians finished a disappointing 6th barely out of the relegation zone. This Tackla jersey was worn by North Bay Centennial star Chad Penney. He played in all seven games for Canada registering no points. The jersey has the nameplate still attached and average wear for the two games that Canada wore white during the 1992 tournament. It also has the unique feature of a red silk-like material around the collar that was a distinctive feature of game worn Canadian Tackla jerseys at the time.
