1988/89 AND 1989/90 game worn jersey. This is the first league mesh jersey in Dukla Jihlava's history. Made by Albert Müller, Dübendorf, Switzerland. Albert Müller was an ice hockey specialized supplier also for ARTIS icehockey sticks and TACKLA mesh jerseys. His jerseys were all made and branded YVETTE in Italy. This particular jersey was used for two seasons without any changes in design or colours. Both seasons 1988/89 and 1989/90 were similar - a collector only would be able to tell the difference when checking the rosters. This nameplate is all original and has been taken off of Válek's prior worn cotton jersey in 1987/88. Oldřich Válek, born in 1960 started his career in 1979/80 with Dukla Jihlava. He was one of the all time best forwards in the club's history. Válek played 12 seasons for Dukla and a few abroad in Finland and Norway. He became Czechoslovak champion for 4 times and won with Czechoslovakia three medals (gold in 1985) plus silver and bronze. He also wore the "C" for Dukla Jihlava for two seasons. Válek's number 9 is legendary in Jihlava although the club never retired any numbers - due to the many players coming and going for army services.
