Strnad was traded to Sparta when the group phase of chhampions league was already completed so he played just play off games. In the white jersey he played a round of 16 game on the ice of swedish Skellefteå and the upcoming quarterfinal game on the ice of another swedish team of Rögle. Sparta lost both quarterfinal games and the CHL season was over for the team.
